Description: In Bordeaux, inclusion is at the heart of public policies, so that the region is accessible for all. Bordeaux ‘Tourism and Handicap’ certified routes are accessible for those with mobility or hearing disabilities, and four map displays for the visually impaired have been installed. The Bordeaux Tourist Office has also developed a dedicated guide for those with disabilities and contains all the services available to people with reduced mobility. The guide is regularly updated, considering the feedback and needs of users. Additionally, the ‘City and Handicap’ task force has helped to make major cultural events such as the Bordeaux Wine Festival and the Bordeaux River Festival accessible for visitors with special needs.
